Noise and the City
About Project
Noise and the City was founded in late 2014 and started as a simple website to house our Greater Boston Neighborhood Noise Survey (now known as the National Environmental Quality Survey) and to keep Greater Boston residents updated on the progress of Dr. Walker’s dissertation research as an Environmental Health doctoral student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The website initially had a link to the survey, which was translated into Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and Vietnamese, as well as a community blog. While you can still visit this website, Noise and the City is now archived and all current work will exist as Community Noise Lab work and projects.
Our National Environmental Quality Survey is currently being used in both our Mississippi and Rhode Island research work.
