Community Noise Lab is working in Gloster, Mississippi, to measure environmental factors, in a community impacted by wood pellet production. We are doing simultaneous environmental data collection in a background community. We are interested in understanding how these environmental factors affect the health and well-being of adolescents and their families across their life course.

Community Noise Lab’s home base is in Jackson, Mississippi. We are working on a variety of environmental projects and community partners. In the past, we have worked on water quality issues. We have a variety of research projects, including our mobile tap water testing laboratory and our real-time tap water bar charts. We continue to host a series of water quality testing events around the city. This summer, we are adding to our laboratory soil quality around illegal dumping sites.
